Normtek’s experience stems back to the first oil and gas well identified by the Alberta Energy Regulator to contain radioactive materials, in 1988. We bring radiation protection, field operations, waste management, analysis and training into one connected chain of responsibility.
That continuity matters. It means fewer assumptions between detection and disposal, clearer decisions at every handoff, and people who remain accountable for the whole outcome.

Work planning follows ALARA principles: reduce time, increase distance, use effective shielding and contain contamination at its source.
Verify before acting
Qualified personnel use calibrated instrumentation, defined work zones and documented readings to turn an invisible hazard into a managed one.
Stay ready to stop
Conditions are monitored throughout the job. When the field no longer matches the plan, work pauses, controls are reassessed and the team realigns.
