Senior Radiation Specialist
About the Role
As a Senior Radiation Specialist, you will lead radiological assessments and NORM management programs for clients across Western Canada. You will build practical, site-specific safety plans, keep projects compliant with CNSC and provincial requirements, and act as a trusted technical resource for clients and field crews alike.
What You’ll Do
- check_circleConduct radiological assessments and NORM surveys at industrial sites.
- check_circleDevelop and implement site-specific safety plans for NORM handling.
- check_circleAdvise clients and regulators on compliance requirements and best practices.
- check_circlePlan and oversee decontamination work at client facilities.
- check_circleDeliver radiation safety training to internal staff and client personnel.
What You’ll Need
Certification
Valid Class 7 CNSC certification
Education
B.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
Experience
Minimum 8 years in industrial radiological environments
